Privacy notice

The short version: we collect what we need to quote for your wheels and do the work, we keep it on our own systems, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers. The longer version is below.

Who we are

Wheel Masters Wickford Limited ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15803639, at Unit 40, Andersons Industrial Estate, Lower Park Road, Wickford, Essex, SS12 9EJ.

If you have any question about this notice or about your data, contact us at wheel_masters@outlook.com or on 01268 944210.

What we collect

  • When you use the enquiry form: your name, and whichever of a phone number and email address you give us, plus any vehicle details and the message you write.
  • When you book work in: the above, plus your vehicle registration, the work agreed, and the invoice record.
  • When you call or email us: whatever you tell us, held in the ordinary course of running a business.
  • Technical data: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) as every web server does. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this website.

We do not knowingly collect any special category data, and we do not ask for any. Please do not send us any.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We do share it, where necessary, with: our web host and email provider (as a technical function of hosting the site and sending mail); our accountant; and, if it ever came to it, our professional advisers or a court. Where a supplier processes data on our behalf, they do so under contract and only on our instructions.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. There is no tracking pixel on it.

The only cookie we set is a session cookie on the admin area, used to keep the workshop owner logged in while managing the site. It is not set for ordinary visitors.

The map on our contact page is not loaded until you ask for it. It comes from Google, and loading it means your browser contacts Google's servers, which may collect data about your visit under Google's own privacy policy. That is why we put a button in front of it rather than loading it automatically.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer and job records: 6 years after the last transaction, which is the period we need for tax records and for any claim in contract.
  • Server access logs: a short rolling period set by our host, typically weeks rather than months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; ask us to delete it (where we do not need to keep it for legal or contractual reasons); object to or restrict our processing of it; ask for it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis.

To exercise any of these, email wheel_masters@outlook.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Storage and transfers

Your data is stored on servers in the UK or EEA. Our email provider may process data outside the UK; where that happens it is under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.

One thing specific to us

Our terms ask that recording equipment, including dash cameras, is switched off while your vehicle is on our premises. That is a data protection measure as much as anything else — our workshop is a place where our staff work, and they have not consented to being filmed.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page. This notice was last reviewed in August 2026.
