Ranking a mobile service locally: Essex Headlight Restoration
A conversion-focused site for a mobile headlight restoration service — before/after proof, town area pages and serious, honest local SEO.

Essex Headlight Restoration is a mobile service — they come to you and make cloudy, yellowed headlights factory-clear in about an hour, from £35, with a 12-month guarantee. For a business like this, the website has one job: convince someone in a specific town that it's worth booking, and rank when they search for it.
The brief
Show the results convincingly, cover the areas served across Essex, London and Kent, and get found for local searches — without the spammy tactics that plague this niche.
What I built
- Proof first — a before/after gallery that does the selling, because the transformation is the product.
- Real area pages — genuine, useful pages for towns like Southend, Chelmsford, Harlow and Romford, plus a full Kent expansion (Dartford, Medway, Maidstone, Canterbury and more).
- Vehicle pages — brand-specific
/makes/pages for BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Vauxhall. - A real blog — what causes cloudy headlights, the MOT implications, and restoration versus replacement — with a 34-URL sitemap and an
llms.txt.
Honest SEO
There's a temptation in local service marketing to spin up dozens of near-identical "doorway" pages stuffed with town names. I don't build those — Google penalises them and they read like spam. The area and vehicle pages carry genuine, distinct content instead, and I steered the site toward the one thing it was actually missing for trust: a proper About page.
For a mobile service, the site is your best salesperson in every town at once. It has to earn the booking before you've said a word.
The MOT-failure angle gives people a real reason to act, and the whole thing is tuned to turn a local search into a booking.
